Still have Questions?
Does working with you cost more than booking myself?
No. Hotels, tours and transport are booked at the same rate you would pay direct. The concierge fee covers my time, and at partner properties the perks come at no extra cost to you.
How far ahead should I come to you?
For a multi-city trip, three to six months is comfortable. For a single hotel, far less. If your dates are tight, ask anyway — I will tell you straight away whether it is still doable.
What do you need from me to start?
Where you want to go, roughly when, how many of you, and what you want to spend per night on accommodation. Everything else we work out together.
Is the concierge fee refundable?
No. It pays for the planning work, which begins as soon as the agreement is signed.
Can you book flights?
Yes, as part of a full itinerary.
How large a group can you handle?
There is no upper limit. I have arranged everything from a family of six across three countries to a full company off-site. Tell me the headcount and the occasion and I will quote it.
Do you only plan Europe?
Not at all. Europe is where I know the ground best, but my clients have travelled to the Maldives, Alaska, New York and plenty of places in between.
I already get hotel perks through my credit card. Is this the same thing?
There is real overlap, and I would never tell you to ignore a card programme — many of them cover the same properties and offer the same upgrades, breakfast and credits. The difference is what happens between the booking and your arrival. A card booking reaches the hotel as a reservation. When I book you, I write to the property myself: who you are, what you are celebrating, that you land at seven in the morning and would rather not wait in a lobby until three. On paper the perks look alike. Whether they are actually ready for you at check-in usually comes down to whether anyone there knows your name before you walk in.
What happens if something goes wrong while I am travelling?
You call me. That is the short answer, and it is the part of this work I take most seriously. A train is cancelled, the weather closes the road to the thing you came all this way for. I deal with the hotel or the vendor directly and come back to you with a next step rather than a list of options. Being based in Europe helps more than you would expect: when something goes sideways in Lisbon at nine in the morning, I am already at my desk rather than asleep six time zones away. And at the properties where I have a relationship, there is someone at the front desk who knows your name and knows to call me.
